The other day I was getting ready to go out and take some pictues and as I was walking up my stairs to get my camera, I noticed my ceiling. My ceiling is like most and I never really thought to stop and take a close look at it. I started thinking that the texture actually looked really cool and I wondered how it would look on camera if I captured it at the right angle.
The point of this post is that if you want to become a photographer or videographer and you feel like you have to go to some far off distant land to get the shot everyone will be talking about you may want to think a little differently. That awesome shot could be staring you in the face every day when you wake up. Look around your own block, your own street and in my case the other day, my own house. I know, I know a ceiling isn’t exactly going to be the most talked about picture of this decade. I am just urging you to look at your world in a different way. Stop, take a breath and take in the details that surround you. Maybe your creativity will strike and you will capture a different perspective of something that you and your neighbors see everyday.
